Kaminski, who became
interested in rodeo after
attending RodeoHouston, as
a
child, had been a seventh-
grade teacher at Bellville
junior high and
attempted to compete in
barrel racing while holding
down the teaching
position for several years.
Her husband, Jerry, final-
ly convinced her to follow
her dream of competing at
the Wrangler NFR.
Kaminski, who started
rodeoing in 1999, quit teach-
ing and hit the rodeo road
full time. She qualified for
her first NFR in 2002, win-
ning two of the 10 rounds.
Kaminski and her hus-
band reside in Bellville with
daughter, Kenna, and
stepson, Colton.
