Commusist members left the festi-

exploited for cold war politics.
While Soviet cosmonaut Yuri A.
Gagarin was being given a trium-

at a restaurant a few blocks away
was being told about the first seri-

Hema Dabare, 38, justice of the
peace in Colombo and leader of
the official 101-member Ceylonese
delegation, announced that 44 non-
Communist members of the dele-

He said the reason was that Com-

had been given more favorable
treatment.
“Of 12 non-Communist speakers

only one got the chance to speak

Dabare said.

blocked with a five-day filibuster
a move to call the bill up for Sen-
