I had recently read a novel by a well-known modem Christian
author. It was a very interesting novel, well written and had many
good points and understanding. One of the points that was made
quite well was that we as Christians need to pray more than we do
and hold each other up in prayer.
It was full of battles between the demon forces of hell and the
angels of heaven. This also I believe does take place (though I’m
not sure in quite the way portrayed). The angels are around us
watching over us. This the scripture tells us clearly.
There did seem to be a problem though. In my own understanding,
the battle is the Lord’s as the scripture says. The angels and we do
participate, and have important parts to play, but God is God.. He
is the Lord of Lords, He is the King of Kings, He will be victorious
even if we fail. He could do anything He desires to do without us
or anyone else. He is the Lord God Almighty.
He gives us the opportunity to work with Him and for Him and to
be a part of His plan. We have the privilege to be His partners,
His laborers together with Christ. However, • the outcome of the
battle of the ages is not dependant on us or the angels, but God
Himself. His was. is, and will be victorious.
We may be a part of His victory, or we can be a part of the
defeated side. God will be the vistor in every battle. God is
Almighty.

enjoyment of all. *
These last two weeks of June have been HOT! and DRY!.....Tempera-
tures have risen to 100 degrees and above - Monday 102 degrees, and
higher predicted for Tuesday (25th). Days have been clear and sunny.
Humidity has been below 10% dipping to 5% one day last week!
The Fourth of July usually brings rain, and I think most everyone
would be delighted. Maybe some cool temperatures would happen if we
I could have a shower of rain.
