Bobby, left early this morning for
Galveston upon receipt of news that
their son and brother Joseph had had

were joined in Giddings by Mr. Met-
calfe’s brother-in-law, Jim Dennison,
who accompanied them on the trip.

M. Griffin attended the county
Health meeting in Bastrop yesterday.

Albert Thomas Catchings, 2, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Catchings of
Adina, died at 12:00 a. m. Decem-
ber 4, 1939 in a Taylor hospital
from the effects of diphtheria. Fun-
eral services were held December
5th, at 3:00 p. m. at Lawhon Springs,
where interment was made, with the
Rev. Ralph Wolfe, of Elgin, officiat-
ing. Beautiful flowers, emblema-
tic of the sweetness of the unmarred
soul, formed a fragrant blanket for
the little grave.
Albert Thomas was born June 22,
1937 and was the joy and pride of
his parents. His playful prattle and
sunny disposition had endeared him
in the hearts not only of his family
but all who knew him. Grieve not
dear ones, he is now safe with Jesus
awaiting that great day when we
shall all meet again, to part no more.
The sympathy of a large friend-
ship is extended the bereaved parents
in their hour of sadness.
