At 7 p. m. a White Christmas ser-
vice will be observed. The offering
at this service will go to our Orphan-
age at Waco. If any reader of these
lines cannot attend the service the
pastor will be glad to receive their
annual offering for this most worthy
cause. “In as much as ye did it
unto one of the least of these ye
did it unto me.” .
Kind reader, if you are not wor-
shiping elsewhere, we will be de-
lighted to have you come and go with
us.
Many weak, run-down women are
in a vicious circle. Their under-
nourishment often leads to what is
called functional dysmenorrhea and
its symptoms — headaches, nerv-
ousness, irritability, intermittent
cramp-like pains—from which many
women suffer. Surest way to break
the vicious circle is by building
strength and energy, which so many
find may be done with the help of
CARDUI. It stimulates appetite,
aids digestion, and thus helps in
this “build-up” of physical resis-
tance. Women also report that, if
taken just before and during “the
time,” CARDUI helps to ease the
pain and discomfort of the period.

“God Behind The Clouds,” will be
the subject for Sunday morning. At
seven o’clock in the evening the sub-
ject will be: “God’s Question For
Everybody.” Both of these services
will be of great help to the saved and
the unsaved. The doubter, the sk-
eptic, the indifferent, the luke warm,
and the unthinking are asked to come
and listen to God’s question for it
concerns the destiny of everybody.
If there is a cloud that shuts out
light; that causes apprehension; that
disturbes and robs you of peace,
come to the morning hour and you
will see God behind the cloud. Our
disappointments, our heart aches and
tears have a blessed ministry. God
has not left us in the dark. He is
on the other side- of the cloud speak-
ing to us. Come and hear Him.
We want every officer and teach-
er to be present and have out their
pupils for the Sunday school hour.
Let us make it a great day for every
service. The young people will come
in goodly numbers for their blessed
hour, and then give their presence
and help to make every service of
the day a blessing to all.
Reader, you are heartily welcome,
come and God bless you.

NEW SWEDEN, Dec. 12—Rev.
and Mrs. Olson were visitors at the
Philip Olson home Monday evening,
and made acquaintance with the new
member of the family, the young
son.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Johnson and
son moved from our good communi-
ty Friday to make their home in the
Creedmore Community.
Mrs. Martin Alquist was a guest in
Taylor Sunday afternoon in the home
of her brother, F. Rose and family.
The Ladies Aid had a very large
attendance at their meeting Wednes-
day afternoon, in the Louis Lund-
gren home in Elgin. The hostesses
were Mrs .Lundgren and her mother,
Mrs. Alquist. The Lundgren home
was very lovely in yuletide decora-
tions, which were also featured in
the dainty refreshments served.
We are glad to see Mrs. Martin
Anderson around again as usual.
Mrs. Anderson has suffered consid-
erable from extraction of teeth, and
has been confined in bed at times.
Visitors with Mitchell Sundberg
Sunday afternoon were Mr. and Mrs.
Hugo Tinglow, Mr. and Mrs. Martin
Lundgren, and C. T. Sundberg and
Thure Sundberg of Del Valle.
Mr. and Mrs. Eric Lilya of Austin,
are the proud parents of a fine baby
son born at Seton Infirmary Satur-
day. Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Holmberg
of our community are the proud
maternal grandparents of the young-
ster.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Berggren and
children were visitors with Mitchell
Sundberg Saturday evening.
Friday a number of the ladies of
the congregation assembled at the
hall for their annual all-day custom
of cheese making for the pastor’s
family. Milk was delivered by the
gallons from those who couldn’t at-
tend and those who didn’t have milk
sent a monetary gift with which ma-
terial for two quilts was bought.
Those who did not participate in the
making of the cheese were busy tack-
ing the quilts.
A delicious “bring what you
please” dinner was served, consist-
ing of chicken, dressing, and oodles
of trimmings, pies, fruit and cake.
At the noon hour the ladies had
six large cheese ready for the parson-
age, and the quilting was finished
for the 4 o’clock coffee. At the end
of this perfect day the cheese and the
two lovely quilts were presented and
Mrs. Olson expressed her thanks and
appreciation for the lovely gifts.

great way last Lord’s day. Our
hearts were made happy when the
'church was filled to near capacity.
Every one seemed to be in the Spirit
on the Lords day.
The entire church seems to be of
one mind that we must keep at least
300 in Bible School with still more
in the church services.
The men are leading the way.
They are determined to keep 100
men in the men’s class each Lord’s
day. Let every man be present with
his family this Sunday.
The Xmas Spirit seems to be grip-
ping every heart. We hope that
everyone of our great church family
will have their happiest Xmas this
year. /
The Xmas program will be given
on Sunday night December 24th. A
pageant, Candle-light service and
Santa will make up the program.
The prayer meeting services are
being attended by near 100 people
each Wednesday night. May their
kind increase.
The sermon subjects for Sunday
will be, “For Such a Time as This”
and “Faithless Love.”
May God find every man, woman,
boy and girl in His house on His
day in Jesus Name. Our hearts co-
vet your loyalty for Christ and His
Church.
