I guess DST has it merits. Sunday evening many
of the late afternoon walkers had time to take a
stroll after they got home from evening church
services.
Some people like the extra hour of daylight in
the evening, while others hate it. Regardless of what
anybody thinks, it appears that the Texas Legisla-
ture intends to stick with Daylight Savings Time.

BENEFITS, COSTS OF INDUSTRIALIZATION-
A Texas A4M University study shows that
both benefits and costs are involved when a
new industry locates in a rural community.
While industrialization improves employment
and income and may reduce a community’s tax
tax burden, net benefits may be lower than
expected because some of the payroll leaves the
community and local government may give
too many concessions.
