We are feeling the change of the season. The
spooks are lurking around waiting for their night,
and we are planning for them. Our residents are
getting ready for a Halloween Costume party
Thursday night, October 25. This will be our first
family night.
Our new residents are Mn. Ethel Lowe, Mn.
Will Johnson and Mn. Halcyon Sheehan. We
welcome them into our nursing home family.
Our thanks to Mr. Edward for the sonic den- -
ture cleaner, Mr. T.J. Ingle for hone shoes and
washers. Miss Grace Emory and Mn. Nora Hill
for playing the piano for us to sing. Thanks, too,
to Grace Emory for helping with Roxie Duff’s
birthday party. Mn. Duff was 86/yean old Fri-
day. A big thank you to all of you who come to
our aid.
Our need for the week is Jack-O-Lanterns
for our Halloween party. Let us hear from some-
one who had a crop of pumpkins. We also need
a Polinex foot care unit.

The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Wheels for Life Bike-a-thon is over for this
year and, looking back, we want to sincerely
thank the citizens of Grandview for their
. generous support of our campaign.
We are extremely proud of the 80 riders,
the hard working volunteers whose efforts
made this a success, and the citizens of
Grandview. Thanks to them we raised a total
over 81,000.00,
Because the diseases that St. Jude Chil-
dren’s Research Hospital is battling can strike
any child anywhere, this money will be helping
- to save children's lives all over the world.
Your help was an important part of this
event, and you performed a very worthwhile
service acquainting the citizens of Grandview
with the life-giving work being done by St.
Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For that,
we are very grateful.
It to a wonderful feeling, te kiiow that the
people of our communit . are concerned
and caring individuals and, on behalf of the
children of St. Jude’, I want to thank each
