manufacturers, state Rep Al

Industrial Commission

international trade depart-
ment. travelled to West Africa
last summer to lay the
groundwork for the current
mission.
"This is not a fishing
expedition," DeMarco
emphasized. "Bob Alger has
done a tremendous job ol
setting the stage for a success-
ful mission, and these lexas
manufacturers are going over
now to sit down and talk
business And while these
'countries are "developing
nations, they are rich in oil
and other natural resources
and they have money to
spend Ihus far. they've been
spending it mostly with
European nations with whom
they've enjoyed long relation-
ships But now, they appear
eager to shop for the best deal,
and that's why the climate
appears to be right for a
mission of this type.
