10:30 a.m.. Tuesday, in Dillon Cha-

MRS. H. C. JONES SR., 55, died
this morning in a local hospital. .
Mrs. Jones was born in Fort
Worth, the daughter of James and
Ollie Odora Truax Anderson. She
was married to Herbert Clay Jones
Sr., and moved to Burleson from
Fort Worth four' years ago. She
is survived by her husband; two
sons, Herbert C. Jones Jr. of
LaCrescenta. Calif., Sgt. James W.
Jones of Cincinnati, Ohio; five
daughters, Mrs. Sterling Burdick of
Burleson, Mrs. Mary V. Williams
of Los Angeles, Mr's. R. J. Bird-
creek and Mrs. S. G. Swenson, both
of El Paso; two sisters, Mrs. A.
P. Allen and Mrs. Roy Berry of
Dallas; and 20 grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pend-
ing at Dillon Funeral Home. The
services, however', will be held at
the Burleson Methodist Church.
J. LEE COX, 53, died Saturday
in Dallas, where he had resided
for the past four months.
Cox was born in Ellis County,
the son of William Jackson and
Frances Dora Jackson Cox. He was
employed as a clerk and had mov-
ed to Dallas from Chicago.
Survivors are two brothers, E.
C. Cox of Houston and Buford Cox
of Dallas; and two sisters, Mrs.
J. D. Nimmo and Mrs. J. W. Dono-
van, both of Cleburne.
Funeral services were held Sun-
day afternoon at 4 o’clock in Dil-
lon chapel, with Mr. Marvin Roland
officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill
cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry
H. Jackson, Hayden Jackson, Ber-
tha Jackson, Luke Jackson, Paul
Jackson, Harve Brigman, R. C.
Smith and James Smith.
