These two Shell insecticides are all you need to knock out
boll weevil and bollworm . . . plus many other pests.
Protect your cotton and your profits with the Aldrin-
Resitox combination.
Shell Aldrex 2 ... aldrin at its best! Just 4 ounces of
aldrin per acre will control the boll weevil and his gang on
mature cotton. And there are 2 pounds of powerful aldrin in
every gallon.
Shell Resitox D-25 ... DDT at its best! The bollworm and
many other insects are best controlled by this proved pest
killer. As a spray, it emulsifies easily. Its initial effect is com-
manding, the overall effect long-lasting ... that’s why it
scores such high kills.
Use them together and get the lot with one blast!
They’re perfectly compatible . . . mix them as one spray and
save an extra application when both types of pests appear
together!

URGES BASEBALL FANS
TO GO BACK TO GAMES
Editor, The Register:
The baseball enthusiasm in and
around Gainesville has been dealt
a near deadly blow. In our June
effort we were confronted with
many attempts to discourage our
efforts. Paid admissions were not
counted in an effort to reduce our
goal, players were called away
and the then manager, Mr. Alex-
ander, went up and down the
aisles quarreling with the pa-
trons and even threatening to
have some of them thrown out
because they differed with him or
asked questions. His demeanor
while here made of him the most

Relatives and close friends of
the couple attended the double

Guests from Gardena and Los

ville their home town. They were
caught between a management
who was fighting to take them
away and a large number of fans
who were fighting the manage-
ment by just staying away..Never
did a league leader team have
such a heart crushing blow given
them and believe it or not, they
are still on top. How do you feel
when you see them take to the
field and in spite of their heavy
hearts, simply play their hearts
out?
Fans, you can’t buy cleaner,
bettei’ sport than baseball, and
Gainesville and vicinity has the
most loyal fans in the world for
a city of its size, but we got all
crossed up. Let’s get right again.
Support this team with your
presence at every home game
from now on—win—lose or draw.
This team has done their part in
spite of two wrongs thrown at
them at once. The management
was wrong and so were we when
we stayed away and two wrongs
never make a right.
Remember fans, your absence
from these home games is not
only doing our team wrong, but
will make it impossible to deal
with some one for a team in years

to come. Our attendance has been
rotten and those who attend know
it. It is not expressive of Gaines-
ville and some of us got mad—-
(not angry)—just mad and stayed
away. It is to them this appeal is
made and from just one fan to
another.
So let’s forget the past—wel-
come the new business manager
in a manner of which only
Gainesville is capable and above
all, let’s fill the place at each
home game from here on out, and
give to our team the support they
have earned.
Respectfully, submitted,
