was opposed by Abe Miller, and in
matter of hits, the Shreveport
pitcher had the advantage, limit-

Thursday night, Adkins has won
six and lost 7 games this season.
The Houston Buffaloes won their
ninth consecutive game Thursday
night, defeating Ban Antonio 6 to
5. The veteran Tom Estell tried to
halt the Buffaloes stampede thru
the second half race, and altho
Tom lost the decision he held the
Buffs to nine hits and really out-
pitched Fowler and Hanson of
Houston. The Indians finished the
game with five errors while Houston
miscued three times. The Indians
j shelled Fowler from the mound in
I the seventh. Hanson got credit for
the win, giving him eight victories
( and four defeats this, season.
