The recent death of Mrs. John
C Coit, a charter member was
the occasion of an impressive mem-
orial service. Mrs. McCracken read
a copy of resolutions prepared by
a committee, pointing out to the
newer members that Mrs. Colt had
been a valuable member over a
number of years, was responsible
for the policies of the club and
in organizing the different depart-
ments. had served as its president,
and in other offices and had been
instrumental in organizing the state
-deration. Lighted candles were used
in the tribute paid her memory by
Mrs. Turrentine, and each charter
