leagues in organized baseball. These
items will be considered in formal
meeting, but player deals will be
tackled wherever and whenever in-
terested parties can get together.
If all the player deals brewing
are accomplished, some kind of a
record is likely to be set. In the
American League, based on current
rumors, almost everyone interested
in player sales and trades will be
trying to do business with Connie
Mack, manager of Philadelphia's
Athletics
Mack has hinted that as many as
five of Iris stars may play elsewhere
in 1834, and there is plenty of cash-
bearing interest in whatever he may
have to offer. Almost certain to go is
George Earnshaw, righthanded pitch-
er. Who failed to get along so well at
Philadelphia last season. The Chi-
cago White Sox are reported to be
first in lipe for Earnshaw, there be-
