Tlie two murals painted by Ron-
’ nle Williams, local artist, to be
placed in the administration build-
ing at Teachers College have been
completed, and will be hung soon.
The murals were painted under the
PWA art plan.
The paintings are in two panels
both representing the influence of
education on agriculture. Both are
done in rich colors.
The first conception shows the In-
fluence on agriculture exerted by
education at the time of the com-
ing of the priests to the fields of
the Indians. The Indians, with the
priests teaching them, form the fore-
ground. In the background there is

A CLEAN-UP OF ALL WINTER MERCHANDISE
BACON Sliced; Lb.
How many days of your life are
lost in feeling under par? How
many hours which might be bright
are dull and dispirited?
Half-hearted days are frequently
due to common constipation. It
clouds your waking hours, takes
the sunshine out of living. Yet it
can be overcome so easily by eat-
ing a delicious cereal.
Laboratory tests show Kellogg’s
ALL-BRAN provides "bulk" and vi-
tamin B to aid elimination. ALL-
BRAN is also a fine source of iron.
The "bulk" in AL-BRAN is much
like that in leafy vegetables. Isn't
this “cereal way” pleasanter than
• risking patent medicines?
Two tablespoonfuls daily are
usually sufficient. With each meal,
in chronic cases. If not relieved
this way, see your doctor.

The aftetioon was occupied
with hearing Marvin C. Nichols

value of the plant. “With collateral"

values added, he-put at $289,307.
Gas company engineers had put
the total value at 'around $345,000.
Nichols' evidence took up. items
of the appraisal in detail, and at
the close of his direct testimony

pointed out that when the govern-
ment limited the amount of milk
a dairyman can sell, the dairymen's
only chance of bigger profit will
be to lower the cost of produc-
tion. He asked Eudaley to discuss
modern methcds of lowering the
cost of milk production.
Eudaley said the first and most
important factor in cheap milk
production is an abundant supply
of ruffage He stressed the Import -
anceor ruffage.that the farmer
does not have to'harvest or cult-
vate, which is pasture Supplement-
ing pasture. Eudaley stressed ensi-
lage next, which he termed ''can-
ned pasture." He pointed out that
ensilage can be put in trench silos
tor less cost than it can be cut
and stacked for hay.
John W Underwood, W J. Olpe
and T. A. Brownng are three Den-
ton County dairymen using ensi-
iaee, and dairymen present were
urged to visit these silos and see
their opera tion, Warren said that
Underwood's silo ts an upright,
concrete and block silo, white
Qipe’s and Browning's silos are of
the trench style. Gipe stated that
his cows increased a quart of milk
per cow per day when he put them
on ensilage.
Goo* Water Helps
As a third method of having
cheap production. Eudaley stressed
an abundance of clean, warm water
in, the wirter and cool water in
the summer. He told of one dairy- t
men who increased his production
20 gallons a day by improving his
water supply without changing the
feed any.

in the District Court room Thurs-

60 Denton County dairymen were
present. . - .
Under the new plan, dairy pro-
duction vill be reduced through
nontracts handled by the county
agent's omice very similar to the
corn, hog, wheat and cotton reduc-
tion contracts. Eudaley explained.
He said that the decision as to
what the reduction and the pay
will be bas not yet been reached,
and urged all dairymen to join in
the reduction plan when it is offer-

farmers need not inquire for fur-

county ngent that contract forms
have arrived. The forms are ex-
