main Sherman highway in the town
of Howe, a community of 800 in-
habitants located eight miles south
of Sharman.
Sheriff Benton Davis and his
corps at seven deputies had been
scouring the countryside since 2:46
p. m. when they received the in-
formation of the Lewisvile bank
robbery, a description at the bandit
and of the car in which he and
a companion had fled.

highway and sped after the sus-
