that the Department of Agricul-
ture is concerned only with prob-
lems of farm and ranch. True,
its primary objective is to serve,
rural America but its benefits
extend to all people whether
they live in the country or in
the city.
The 1965 edition of the Agri-
culture Yearbook is “proof of
the puddin'.” It is entitled Con-
sumers All and it was released
last Friday. It is part of the De-
partment's efforts to make the
lives of people healthier, hap-
pier and more fulfilling.
I have not yet had an oppor-
tunity to study the new book in
detail but if it is as interesting
as its predecessors it will become
a permanent part of my library.
As is customary, each Member
of Congress is allotted a limited
number of copies. I do my best
to place them in the hands of li-
braries and other places where
they wlil be available to every-
one. I will distribute them upon
request as long as my supply
lasts.
