The Sealy seventh grade girls
track team finished the season in
sixth place. In the District Track
Meet, they scored 34 points and
took first place in the triple jump.
Considering there were only eight
members on the team, that is a
good score and effort.
The eighth grade girls track -
team ended the season taking
second place behind Navasota in
the district meet. The girls took at
least one place in every event,
with first places in the 100 meter
dash, 800 meter relay, discus, and
high jump. They also captured
second places in the 200 meter
dash, 400 meter dash, 400 meter
relay, and high jump.
The eighth graders had a good
season, finishing fifth at the Sealy
relays, third at the Royal meet,
and second in the York relays at
Bellville.
Both the seventh and eighth
grade girls worked hard all
season, improving right through
the district meet. They have a lot
of talent and potential, and plan
to maintain the Sealy track teams*
winning tradition in the future.
