REAP TERMINATED - As most
of you know REAP has been
terminated as of December 22,
1972. All requests approved be-
fore December 22, 1972 will be
honored. Office of Management
and Budget withheld funds ap-
propriated by Congress for
REAP. It was determined that
this program could be termin-
ated without seriously affecting
rural America.
In the past two years about
90,000 dollars of REAP money
has been spent in Delta County.
However, the farmers and ran-
chers have matched these funds
out of their own pocket. The
program has helped stabilize
critical areas which were erod-
ing away, help prevent water
pollution and provide more in-
