Nagging Backache
Nagging backache, loss of pep and energy,
headaches and dizziness may be due to slow-
down of kidney function. Doctors say good
kidney function is very important to good
health. When some everyday condition, such
as stress and strain, causes this important
function to slow down, many folks suffer nag-
ging backache—feel miserable. Minor blad-
der irritations due to cold or wrong diet may
cause getting up nights or frequent passages.
Don’t neglect your kidneys if these condi-
tions bother you. Try Doan’s Pills—a mild
diuretic. Used successfully by millions for
over 50 years. It’s amazing how many times
Doan’s give happy relief from these discom-
forts—help the 15 milesof kidney tubes and fil-
ters flush out waste. Get Doan’s Pills today!

Two of the top class B football
teams in North Texas will be
seen in action in a non-confer-
ence tilt Friday night when the
Alvord Bulldogs invade Muens-
ter for a clash with Coach
Doyle Hood’s rugged Hornets.
Kickoff time is 8 o’clock.
Both elevens will carry identi-
cal season’s records of five wins
and one loss into the contest
which is expected to draw the
largest crowd of the current sea-
son at Muenster.
. The Hornets have a big rea-
son for wanting to win this one,
though it is not a district game.
Last year when the two teams
were operating in the same cir-
cuit, the Bulldogs whipped the
Hornets in a hard-fought game
at Alvord.
So closely matched do the two
teams appear to be that it is
difficult to name a favorite, but
the Hornets rate a slight nod
due to the home field advantage.
Utah, named for the Ute tribe
of Indians, was originally called
Deseret, a name used in the Book
of Mormon, meaning “honey
bee.”

Walter Ray Blake, son of D. L.
Blake, 1029 East Broadway,
who is stationed aboard the U.U
S. S. San Doval, troop trans-
port, San Francisco, has a bet-
ter idea of what it means to
have buddies in the navy, after
an incident of last weekend.
A loud sheaker system ad-
vised Walter Ray of the death
of his mother, just before he
would have been lost from com-
munications on leave in San
Francisco for the weekend, and
when he went to his ship to
prepare to leave for Gainesville
he found his buddies had made
up a fund to help pay his ex-
penses on his trip-home to attend
his mother’s funeral.
