Mr. Wood has decided he will withdraw and renounces all his rights
to be mayor and joins Mayor Toepperwein in proclaiming to the world
that by right and by wrong, Mayor Toepperwein shall be mayor, big
cheese and little cheese as long as Leon Springs is a Spring (it's about
dry now).
Mr. Wood says that his business is growing so fast that the store will
require all his time and he is sure that Mayor Toepperwin will use his
store part of the time for his office.

Sheriff Has Faith
In Lie Detector Now
Sheriff S. F. Edge of Kendall County, who heretofore had not placed
much faith into the efficiency of the lie detector, was of a different opin-
ion Friday.
The Sheriff brought with him to San Antonio three servants from a
ranch in Boerne. The three, a man and two women, were suspects con-
cerning the theft of $25 from a guest at the ranch.
The three were given the lie detector test at Police headquarters Fri-
day by G. E. Robinson, who is in charge of the machine.
As a result, one of the women not only confessed to the theft, but
also revealed the hiding place. The Sheriff returned to the Boerne ranch
where the money was recovered.
