BRIEF GLORY . . . Brevity is the
soul of wit, said Shakespeare, but
not even the Bard could have done
poetic justice to O’Hara Jones of
New York City, who was chosen
“Miss Brevity of 1949” in the third
annual contest for the title at
Miami Beach.

Grab Your Pardner And
Circle Eight
Yes, don’t forget folks, for a
real treat come out to the square
dance on April 1, and dance to
to music of the W. C. Ramblers.
Yes, for a real evening of en-
tertainment, you can’t afford to
miss the music brought to you
by a few of the music makin’
College boys.
On the fiddle we have “Tiny”
Catchings, a boy from Red Rock,
Texas. On the guitars we have
three or four of the local boys
like James Langford, Joe Berry
on first guitar, and Weldon
Spracklen on second guitar. Also
Bill Bill Hall on that great big
bass fiddle of his.
We might even have a few
twin fiddle numbers by Tiny
and Cotton.
