Every suryiving soldier of the
‘608, whether he were blue or
gray, who fought la the great bat-
tle of Kennesaw Mountain, to be-
ing sought by the Chamber of
Commerce of MarleAa. Ga., at the
foot of Kennesaw, that he may be
invited to a reunion of Confed-
erate and Union veterans on June
24. Already hundreds of veterans
have been traced, and others are
urged to send theri names and ad-
dresses to the Marietta chamber.
The occasion, which to expected
to drew thousand* of Kennesaw
survivor* to Marietta, will be the
anniversary of the hottest day's
fighting in that famous engage-
meat of '44, which loft 11,000
dead in the Union and Confeder-
ate cemeterles of thia little city.
It will be the forerunner, it to be-
lieved. of the establishment of a
great national military park,
which will include all of Kenne-
saw Mountain and its environs
and will be the government's first
joint memorlal to the heroes of
both sides ta tha war between ths
