“Development of these denatur-

Dr. Doran said methanol—- wood

BY NEW REMEDY
Three well-known speclallsts have re-
ently perfected A marvelous new remedy
for cougHs, which stops the severest spells
almost insanity, and often elears up a
stubborn, deep cough overntght. People who
have hardly been able to sleep at night
for coughing, rust all right without a
break, after the first few doses.
The new discovery is known as Mentho-
dyne and la based upon a new way of
taking menthol Internally in a pleasant-
tasting liquid. Everybody knows how men-
thol, even when Just Inhaled, "‘clenfs out
the pipes,'* soothes rawness, loosens
phlegm, relieves congestion and kills the
germa of a cold or cough. When taken in-
ternally in this new combination with
other healing Ingredients—coming in di-
rect contact with the irritated and con-
gested throat lining—It is 10 times more
effective than when used merely as a
■prsy. Inhaler or ointment.
Furthermore, Mentheyne at once wrks
its way all through the system, clearing
out from the inside the cough, cold and
bronchitis germs end poisons that cause
that miserable headache, fever, etc., and
toning up the entire system. The result is
that a cough that has hung on for weeks
is often gone in a short time.
Make thia amazng overnight test your-
nelf without risking s penny. Get a bottle
of‘Menthodyne today and take as directed.
No matter how severe your cough or how
long you have hhd it, if you do not have
a thoroughly comfortable and cough-free
night, and jf you don’t feel 100 per cent
better In the morning, take the bottle
hark and the druggist will return your’
money. If inconvenient to get at drug*

Business Research Director Sees
Increase in Acreage
By United Press/ .
AUSTIN, Feb. 8.-«—Governor
Dan Moody's cotton acreage reduc-
tion conference to be held in Jaek-
son. Miss., on Feb. 20, got a se-
vere jolt today with issuance of a
forecast by Dr. A. B. Cox, director
of the bureau of business research
at the University, of Texas, that
there will be a probable cotton
acreage increase of 4 to 6 per
cent.
Moody’s movement was launch-
ed to offset bear reports from New
York that there would be an in-
crease of rfom 7 to 10 per cent.
Moody ridiculed this forecast.
Cox had been picked by Gover-
nor Moody yesterday as one of the
State’s cotton authorities to be
