‘THE 1,592 dots on this United States map mean something. They
indicate the location of 1,592 hatcheries. They mean more than
that. They mean that 1,592 hatcherymen—all over the country, from
the Atlantic Oean to the Rocky Mountains—recommend Purina
Poultry Chows to their customers.
A hatcheryman thinks twice before he recommends a ration to his
customers. He wants the chicks he sells to live and grow. Repeat
orders depend upon it. Whether or not the chicks he sells live and
grow depends upon what his customers feed those chicks. That’s the
reason a hatcheryman thinks twice before he recommends a ration.

Missouri Senator’s Careful
Finesse Gains Him Much
Strength in State
BY NOLEN BULLOCK
United Press Statf Correspondent
DALLAS, Feb. 22.—Senator
James A. Reed of Missouri by
a careful finesse has gained such
strength in Texas that he may
receive the state delegation’s vote
at the Houston convention, po-
litical observers began to opine
today.
The fiery Missourian opened
his campaign for the Democratic
presidential nomination here
, Monday night, addressing sev-
eral thousand people at. two
meetings—one an open political
rally and the other an opeh
meeting of the Dallas Bar As-
sociation.
When the Senator arrived in
Dallas he was questioned as to
why he had selected Dallas to
begin his campaign. He smilingly
answered: "Texas should be
glad to have me."

The flight also established an-
