Ladies, at the corner of As-
pen and Berkshire. A loan
is not required in order to
have a lemonade stand. It
is optional. The loan must
be paid back to the Cham-
ber by May 10th. T-shirts,
sponsored by Farley’s Tech
Solutions, will also be pro-
vided to participants who
register on time. Start plan-

the habitats were amazed at
the creativity and detailed
analysis of the research.
The habitats are cur-
rently on display in the
Elementary library.
Sensational Crosbyton
third grade scientists, di-
rected by science teacher,
Mrs. Longo, shared their
science projects and writing
skills with their pen pals
from Colorado!
What a phenomenal
opportunity to share knowl-
providing an opportunity
for young people to study
and practice entrepreneur-
ship in action, allowing the
borrowing and repaying of
money for the stand and
more!
A formal presentation
on entrepreneurship will be
presented to the Crosbyton
elementary students in the
near future.
A form is available at
school and at the City office
for students to be enrolled
in the Crosbyton Lemon-
ade program. A loan of $25
Crosbyton Chamber of
Commerce and Agriculture
will partner with the Na-
tional Lemonade Day on
Saturday, May 7th to help
sponsor lemonade stands
for future entrepreneurs!
National Lemonade
Day is a well-established
global national youth en-
trepreneurship program
that teaches leadership and
business skills by encour-
aging children to launch a
lemonade business in their
hometown.
The Chamber will be
your booth!
There will be water
slides for the kids and other
games. The cornhole tour-
ney will kick off at noon and
bags will fly at 1:00, all or-
chestrated by cornhole ex-
pert Donavan Miranda. The
evening will follow with the
Chamber serving burgers
and hot dogs, all to benefit
our amazing Crosbyton Vol-
unteer Fire Department who
will then produce incredible
fireworks show that night!
Donations will be collected
from the wonderful Crosby-
ton businesses that always
support this cause! Mark
your calendar NOW and do
not miss a minute!

guins from November 2022
to March 2023.

A retirement to remem-
ber
Betty Reid Soskin
served as a full-time Na-
tional Park Service ranger
for only about 11 years, but
her retirement at the age of
100 drew a lot of attention,
according to the Association
of Mature American Citi-
zens [AMAC].
The oldest active ranger
worked at the Rosie the Riv-
eter Home Front National
Historical Park in Rich-
mond, CA, which opened
in the year 2000.
Reporting on her re-
tirement, MSNBC noted
