Pulldown window shades and blinds and close /draperies when-
ever possible to help cut down on heating and cooling costs, es-
pecially in homes with lots of windows. Doing so will create a
small “dead air space” around windows, preventing the loss of
heated or cooled air as it comes in contact with the window pane.
