The Buy-it-at-Home movement
launched in the county appears to
be getting somewhere in some of
the cities and towns. Honey Grove
has had a meeting, and it is learned
that it awarded prizes for essays
on the subject of why people should
buy at home.
The subject of buying at home Is
nqt a new thing, but buying it some-
where else is just as old a topic.
Indeed, had buying it at home been
more of the habit of all of us there
would never have been any Mace-
donain cry to quit sending off for
things.”
One city went so far as to tell
folks that for every mail order house
catalogue presented at the box of-
fice of its local picture show, the
‘presenter would be given a pass to
the show, and the mail order house
catalogue would be taken up, as
payment. Nobody around her? is
advocating such a thing, but it has
been done, and anybody doing such a
.thing would certainly be proving his
faith by his works.
The organization here in Bonham,
as might be seen by the announce-
ment in Monday’s Favorite, is go-
ing to- offeE prize* for the best- esr
says on the subject. The prizes
will be worth the effort of preparing
the articles.
