$50.00 FINE TO THROW
TRASH IN BAR DITCHES
People are warned against throw-
ing trash of any kind in the drainage
ditches on the side of public roads.
This is a misdemeanor charge, with
a $50.00 fine, and will hereafter be
strictly, enforced.
This is necessary to protect car
owners, for when the grader cleans
out these ditches, it throws bottles,
tin cans, nails, etc., which have been
thrown in the ditches, up on the road
bed and tires are frequently ruined
by running over these obstacles.

CARD OF THANKS
We wish to extend our sincere
thanks to the many friends for their
acts of kindness during the brief ill-
ness of our beloved father and grand-
father, Dr. G. T. King, and for sym-
pathy expressed at his death. Especi-
ally do we thank Mrs. August Lue-
deck for her devoted services to him
during his last hours, Doctors W. E.
Campbell and Joe V. Fleming for
their faithfulness in standing by.
We are also grateful to the Rev.
J. W. Rowland for his words of com-
fort, Mrs. W. E. Wood and Mrs. Joe
King for the covered dishes sent and
all who sent floral tributes. We do
so appreciate each and every courtesy
and expression of friendship extend-

__ chool days and study nights are here again. Help
make the task of learning easier for your children by get-
ting the full efficiency from your lighting. Grime, dust and
dirt are all saboteurs of good light... a bulb or reflector
that is dim from an accumulation of dirt and grime is,
harmful to young eyes. Check all study and floor lamps
and see that they are wiped clean and free from dust...
replace darkened bulbs with fresh ones of the proper size
... see, too, that lamps are arranged properly to elimi-
nate glare.
