Ruth was a member of the
Methodist Church.
She is survived by her father,
John Barton, Sr., three brothers,
John Barton, Jr., W. A. Barton,
Bruce Barton, two nephews, Billy
and Bobby Barton, two nieces,
Mary Ruth Barton and Betty Fae
Barton, and two step nieces, Bar-
bara and Julie Lane.
Last rites were held Wednesday
afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, from
the chapel of Miller Mortuary,
with the Rev. Seaborn Kiker, pas-
tor of First Methodist Church of-

She was the only daughter and
was born at the old homestead
which is the site of the Wiibarger
- Lee tract. Here her father has
resided for seventy-six years. She
was the constant and devoted
companion of her father and
brother, John Barton, Jr. The
three of them lived together for
many years on the old homestead.
Ruth went to the little country
school near Utley until she was
ten and then later to public school
in San Angelo, graduating from
Beaumont High School. She at-
tended the University of Texas,
finishing with a Master’s degree.
She returned to the farm many
years ago and lived there until
her death.
ROBERT REASONER
BURIED IN GRANGER
Funeral services for Robert
Reasoner, who died in Elgin Fri-
day morning, December 10, at
11:50 o’clock, were held Satur-
day afternoon at 4 o’clock from
the Condra Funeral Home in
Granger.
The Rev. L. G. Ramey officiat-
ed. Burial was in the Granger
Cemetery.
Mr. Reasoner was born May 9,
1877, and was formerly a resi-
dent of Granger.
He is survived by one sister,
Mrs. Mary Gore of Coleman; five
brothers, W. H. Reasoner' of
Granger, Albert Reasoner of Cole-
man, Alex and Marion Reasoner
of California and Morris Reasoner
of Pennsylvania.
