The long, clean lines and distinctive grille of the modern convector
radiator, recessed beneath the double windows, form a pleasing
background for the arrangement of the coffee table and matching
chairs in this attractive room. Where a fireplace is lacking, as in a
modern apartment, such a fireplace-like grouping of furniture is
effective. By recessing the convector in the wall, complete flexibility
of furniture arrangement is permitted without sacrifice of heating
comfort

habits and so can liking people.
We should try to keep away from
the grudge-holding habits and get
into the finer one of liking people.
Boost a little, cheer a lot, and
help a brother reach the top.
Be interested in others, inter-
ested in their pursuits, their wel-
fare, homes and families. Make
merry with those that rejoic;
with those who weep, mourn. Let
everyone you meet, however hur-
ble, feel that you regard him as
one of importance. Keep skid
chains on your tongue, always say
less than you think. Cultivate a
low, persuasive voice. How you
say it often counts more than
what you say. Now this is so
true. But can we do this? If we
try hard enough, and pray, we
might. Pray ye one for another.
Well, I hear something about
Old Santa is soon coming. I do
hope He. will visit all the folks
here in the “Neck,” and not miss
a one. Of all the gifts I get for
Christmas, just to be remember-
ed with a greeting card from our
friends, means more than I could
ever choose words to express. For
I do love friends. I think that is
what makes this life worth while.
Friends, friends, and more friends,
and allow me to take this privil-
ege and space to wish for our
editor and all the employees at
the Courier office, and to all those
who write for the paper, and to
every reader, a Very Merry
Christmas, and a Joyous, Prosper-

and health, we should always be
happy and very thankful, not com-
plaining, or worrying and try to.

life’s highway, for those who
might not be as strong as we. It’s

laugh at another’s efforts, but the
real question we should ask our-
selves is, Could we do it as well
ourselves?
Life’s journey may be rugged
and rough, and it may lead us
from loved ones and home. But
as One Friend is constant and
true, we’ll never travel the high-
