Consider its familiar, every-day use in making coffee
... you can still make six cups of coffee or
even sixty, in a big commercial urn, for less than
a penny’s worth of fuel when you use
natural gas. Stop to think of all the
wonderful services gas performs in your
home, and you, too, will say,
“Natural gas in the Gulf South is worth
much more than it costs today.”

Natural gas is one item in the family budget
which, on the average, costs no more now than it did
20 to 30 years ago. We believe you’ll
agree it’s worth much more than it costs today.

Postmaster and Mrs. E. N. So-
Well have returned home after
an 18-day motor trip through
Texas, New Mexico and Colo-
rado.
They were accompanied to
Alamogordo, New Mexico by
their two grandchildren who had
spent the summer here as their
guests, and enroute stopped in
El Paso, Texas for a visit with
Mrs. Horace iSowell and family
and all drove over into Juarez,
Mexico on a sightseeing and
shopping trip.
At Alamogordo, N. Mexico, Mr
and Mrs. 'Sowell were guests for
several days of their son and wife
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Neal So-
well and there parted company
with the youngsters.
Traveling on they visited in
Ruidosa, a most interesting va-
cation spot; Cloudcroft, where it
rains every day; White Sands,
Santa Fe, Taos, each place add-
ing new thrills and interest to be
remembered about New Mexico.
At Charma, N. Mex. they had
the pleasure of greeting a form-
er Elginite, Emory Olds and were
guests at his Courts located in
northern section of the state
where fishing and hunting
abounds.
The Olds (Mr. and Mrs.) spend
summers operating the Courts
and Mrs. Olds teaches in the El
Paso, Texas schools where Em-
ory joins her at the close of the
resort season, around Dec. 15 and
spends the winter, reopening in
March.
In Colorado the Sowells - en-
joyed sightseeing in Pueblo, Col-
orado Springs, Manitau, where
they visited the Garden of the
Gods, the Will Rogers Shrine of
the Sun, the zoo, Cave of the
Winds, Seven Falls and on Pike’s
Peak had1 a snowball fight and
experienced a sleet storm. An
inspiring sight enjoyed near San-
non City was the Royal Gorge
which boosts the highest suspen-
sion bridge in the world. Many
other sights and pleasant exper-
iences along the route rounded
out a most interesting and de-
lightful 18-days vacation.
