6.711 miles of Grading, Drainage
Structures, Flexible Base & Prime
Coat from Yorktown to a point 3
mi. East and from Cuero South-
east to the Guadalupe River on
Highway No. FM 236 & 237. covered
by 8 356 (1) & S 357 (1) in DeWitt
County, will be received at the
Highway Department, Austin, until
9:00 A. M., July 24, 1946, and then
publicly opened and read.
This is a “Public Works” Project,
as defined in House Bill Nc. 54 of the
43rd Legislature of the State of Tex-
as and House Bill No. 115 of the
44th Legislature of the State of Tex-
as, and as such is subject to the
provisions of said House Bills. No
provisions herein are intended to be
in conflict with the provisions of
said Acts.
In accordance with provisions of
said House Bills, the State Highway 1
Commission has ascertained the
wage rates prevailing in the locality
in which the work is to be done.
The Contractor shall pay not less
than the prevailing wage rates
shown in the proposal for Group 3
for each craft or type of “Laborer,"
“Wokman,” or “Mechanic" employ-
ed on this project.
Legal holiday work shall be paid
for at the regular governing rates.
