Dallas Typographical Union has
voted to take a strike vote on the
Dallas News and Times Herald.
This vote will be taken as soon
as it receives approval by the
International Union, and it will
receive approval. The negotiations
have gone on too long and have
been very costly to Dallas Typo-
graphical Union.
Freddie Norville James, retired
Herald printer, was a visitor in
the Herald Chapel this week.
Freddie states that he is enjoy-
ing life and playing golf every day.

workmen coming to the Labor
Temple every day seeking employ-
ment. Some of them are not like-

will want to be down Friday after
Thanksgiving seeking employment
We, who are working in these
Union offices, should not forget
these members who need our as-
sistance and need us on the jobs
at all times. We should not forget
the days when we were seeking
a job in the winter time. It is
good to have conditons,, but let
all share in the good conditions.

to be sold. There should be at
least a minimum of 2,000 tickets
sold to this affair.
Back on the strike trouble. I
have just gotten though talking
to several reliable members on
both papers. They stated that they
were going to do good to keep the
men on the jobs for the next week.
-eThe members have started talk-
ing about the forthcoming state
elections. This is very good.
Maybe they will pay their poll tax.
The Dallas Allied Printing
Trades Council will have a recep-
tion for all candidates who file
for office shortly after the dead-
line. This means both Republicans
and Democrats. This will also be
open to the public. There win be
a question and answer program at
this reception. This is in no way
to mean that we will endorse or
otherwise. This will be left up to
the AFL-CIO Council where it be-
long. However, this will give our
delegates ammunition to go a the

rain has gone for awhile. Work
is picking up quite a bit.

We are in need of several bridge-

it will be February before it starts.
Our sysmpathy goes out to Bro.

Our sympathies also go out to
Mrs Norma Mann and family.
Their dad’s died last week.
We are still talking about sell-

this happens. Maybe, we can get

to Section 15(a) (2) of the Federal Dinner Committee will meet again
Law which Congress amended two
years ago. The new provision be-
came generally effective June 11,
1964. As to the offended person,
or the object of discrimination, the
law makes no distinction between
men and women.
The Issue involves the payment
of ticket and station agents at
Dallas’ Love Field. Four women
in the first category were paid
325 a month less than men in the
second category, though both sold
tickets and otherwise did the same
kind of work, the Department
says.
Investigations which resulted in
the suit were made by the Dallas
office of the Labor Department’s
Wage and Hour and Public Con-
tracts Divisions. That office, di-
rected by Lawson A. Wood, is lo-
cated in Room 1007, 1416 Com-
