We will have our first meeting
for November Friday night the
4th --- ----
We have some very important
business to discuss!
The Pension Plan was revived
at our meeting October 21 and
after some discussion it was de-
cided that we would discuss the
matter further Friday night and
if the members showed enough in-
terest to warrant it, we would send
out cards and decide what we
want to do at the meeting Novem-
ber 18:
Work has slowed down. We
have had men out of work last
week and this week. Should be
picking up soon.
The sick members are all im-
proving. Bro. Bud Roberts is able
to be up, but his wife just got out
of the hospital. She is doing a
little better. Their friends should
go by and visit with them.
Screen Actors Re-Elect

posed by the official nominating
committee was elected without
opposition. Other officers chosen
were MacDonald Carey, White Bis-
sell, Ricardo Montalban and Ron
Rawson, vice presidents; Marie
Windsor, recording secretary, and
Gilbert Perkins, treasurer.

supporting and voting for Wag-
goner Carr. Carr is not pro-la-
bor, but he’s certainly not anti-
labor. Carr has been completely
fair in his handling of labor issues
as attorney general. We in the
local union vote for the man and
his record. Therefore, Carr gets
our vote on his record compared
to that of Tower. Vote for Wag-
goner Carr for U. S. Senator on

The Apprentice School got un-
derway October 17 and quite a few
absentees were noted on the roll
call It is advisable that all ap-
prentices attend the classes.
School nights are the same as be-
fore—Monday and Wednesday. So
be sure you attend.
Work at the present time is a
little slow but is picking up.
We were very sorry to hear of
Bro. Ray Ashley’s accident last
Friday. He fell off a motorcycle
and broke his leg at the knee.
Bro. Ashley is in the Mesquite
Memorial Hospital and would like
for some of the fellows to drop
in and say hello.
Bro. Winchester is still on the
sick list and also Bro. Harry Wes-
sage’s wife.
I want to thank all for the
card sent Mrs. Chas. Ehrhardt, my
wife during her stay in the hos-
pital. She is recovering very well
at home.

We are sorry to report that
some of our members are still tn
the hospital. Bro. Sy Selman is
in the Veterans’ Hospital at Lis-
bon, Room A-459.
The son of Bro. Roy Page is in
the Park Center Hospital at Eu-
less, Texas.
We have a great obligation to
fulfill next Tuesaay, November 8.
We have to elect Carr over Tower.
We all know what Tower stands
for. He has a yearning for the
good old days of sweat - Bhop
wages, no minimum wage law, no
right to form a union, no social
security, no unemployment bene-
fits, no workmen’s compensation
laws and no hope for those who
do not inherit wealth. Tower is
still voting against labor on every
issue. We can’t beat him by
staying home November 8. We
can't beat him by remaining neu-
tral. We can beat him only by
