Mrs. E. R. Parks led the open-
ing prayer. Mrs. Ed Sanders pre-

cers, using as her theme, “What
is That in Thy Hand,” taken from
the fourth chapter of Exodus and
third chapter of Acts. She presen-

Purchasing good rose bushes is
one of the first considerations.
Next comes good care, which con-
sists of proper preparaticn, sel-
ection of location, and feeding the
plant. She advised not putting ros-
es with other plants and to have
at least two roses of the same
variety and in blending colors.
Mrs. Best stated that there are
12 types of roses and more than
3,000 varieties. The hybrid tea
rose is best suited for flower shows
and the grandiflora is the best for
all tvpes. The proper time for
planting roses is from November
।first to January first. The garden
