1 creation of the district is not confirmed at a confirmation
2 election held under Section 8252.024 before September 1i, 2011:
3 (1) the district is dissolved September 1, 2011,
4 except that:
5 (A) any debts incurred shall be paid;
6 (B) any assets that remain after the payment of
7 debts shall be transferred to Collin County; and
8 (C) the organization of the district shall be
9 maintained until all debts are paid and remaining assets are
10 transferred; and
11 (2) this chapter expires September 1i, 2014.
12 Sec. 8252.004. INITIAL DISTRICT TERRITORY. (a) The
13 district is initially composed of the territory described by
14 Section 3 of the Act creating this chapter.
15 (b) The boundaries and field notes of the district, as
16 described by Section 3 of the Act creating this chapter, form a
17 closure. A mistake made in the field notes or in copying the field
18 notes in the legislative process does not affect:
19 (1) the organization, existence, or validity of the
20 district;
21 (2) the right of the district to impose taxes;
22 (3) the validity of the district's bonds, notes, or
23 indebtedness; or
24 (4) the legality or operation of the district or the
25 board.
