A good driving light does not
need to be glaring and blinding.
In fact, a light that blinds an
approaching driver is seldom a
good light for its own driver.

Base on balls: Off Trow. 2;
Moore, 2.
Sunday, July 19, the local ball team
defeated the Bering team of Houston
hy a score of 7 to 2. For three in-
nings both Trow and Moore hitched
up to an honest to goodness pitching
duel but the big guns of the locals
began to get to Moore in the 4th and
5th innings and pushed over five runs
putting the game on ice.
For the locals, Easley and Macura
collected three hits each while Me-
Milian and Moore touched Trow for
two each. The boys seem to have
at last hit their stride and to work
together so from now on to the last
game lets hope that they continue
to improve and play like old leag-
uers. No team can win without the
support and co-operation of the home
fans so lets everybody turn out hale
and hearty for our next games and
give our boys lots of good, old-fash-
ioned support like the Fort Worth
