in that very helpful and sweet serv-
ice, Nothing that is done in the
church is so calculated. It seems to
us, to clear up the spiritual vision of
men and women as taking part in this
sacrament of the Lord's Supper.
The services Sunday night weir
very well attended, and the interest
wax the best we have seen since our
coming to serve the church in New-
gulf We are still going to keep on
believing that better days are ahead
in the work of the church among the
people of our town and wouldn't it lie
a good thing if all these who belong
to the church would just decide to
let nothing keep them from attending
services at least once every Sunday.
And the future of the boys and
girls coming up depends very large-
ly on how the parents conduct them-
selves, with reference to the church.

Make a paste of two or three table- J

in consistency. The product should

far as attendance was concerned The
people seem eager to get together
whe re prayer is wont to In* made, and
talk to God and to one another about
what the heart most needs. One of the
best features of these meetings is the*
large* number of boys and girls who
come.
This pastor and wife* drove out to
see Mi Brewer the other side of Iago
the other day and we found a most
excellent gentleman and a fine
daughter in a lovely home. Mr Brew-
i was the courtly and hospitable man
we have always heard him to be, and
when we* got ready to come back to
Newgulf he* loaded the* old Buick up
with all kinds of good things to eat.
We certainly do appreciate the gen-
erosity of those fine* people
The other morning the delivery man 1
from one of Newgulf’s grocery stores
came down to the* parsonage and left
a tableful of the finest eatables you |
ever saw. Meats and vegetables and I
fruits of mH kinds and plenty of them.

We were pretty well contented at
the way our services turned out the
past Sunday. What with so many of
the people away for their vacations,
we felt like congratulating ourselves
at the way the attendance held up.
We had a pretty fair showing at
the Sunday school session and good
interest, and splendid lessons. Mrs.
Platt's class still holds the banner
for attendance numbers, and no one
seems able to take it away from those
hustling boys and girls.
Next Sunday will lie Commmnion
