1 AN ACT
2 relating to the use of parenting plans and parenting coordinators
3 In suits affecting the parent-child relationship.
4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
5 SECTION 1. Section 153.007(d), Family Code, is amended to
6 read as follows:
7 (d) If the court finds the agreed parenting plan is not in
8 the child's best Interest, the court may request the parties to
9 submit a revised parenting plan. If the parties do not submit a
10 revised parenting plan satisfactory to the court, [e4] the court
11 may, after notice and hearing, [renee- an] order a parenting plan
12 that the court finds to be in the best interest of [for the
13 ensrvator chip an. poocc ozion of] the child.
14 SECTION 2. Section 153.0071, Family Code, is amended by
15 adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
16 (g) The provisions for confidentiality of alternative
17 dispute resolution procedures under Chapter 154, Civil Practice and
18 Remedies Code, apply equally to the work of a parenting
19 coordinator, as defined by Section 153.601, and to the parties and
20 any other person who participates in the parenting coordination.
21 This subsection does not affect the duty of a person to report abuse
22 or neglect under Section 261.101.
23 SECTION 3. Section 153.133(b), Family Code, is amended to
24 read as follows:1
