Jake Helgren is busy.
Jake is an Elgin High
School Class of 2000
graduate who is finding
a bit of success in the
movie business. IMBD,
the Internet Movie Data-
base that tracks details
of movies and movie
makers, lists nine movie
projects for Jake in 2016
that are either in pro-
duction, in post produc-
tion or finished within
the last year. There are
16 projects total for Jake
going back to only 2011.
Several of those movie
projects were filmed
right here in Elgin. Sev-
eral more are filmed in
Austin. In some ways,
Jake is bringing Elgin
along with him.
