Donald (Donnie) Eugene Pritchard,
76, of Flatonia, passed away on Satur-
day, Sept. 10,2022, in Schulenburg.
He was born on June 2,1946 in Gon-
zales to Sydney "Bud" Pritchard and Effie
Cowey Pritchard. On June 1, 1996, he
was united in marriage to Patty Robbins
at Cistern Hall in Cistern. After graduat-
ing from Waelder High School, he joined
the United States Navy in November

and J & B Foods. The next chapter of his life was working for and retiring
from Prototype Machine.
Donnie enjoyed bowling, golfing, and dancing. He loved to play board
and card games with his family and friends, especially Wahoo. He spent his
later years watching his favorite TV shows and spending countless hours
with his beloved cat. He could always put a smile on someone's face by
telling one of his many jokes or singing a funny melody. He never met a
stranger and would talk to anyone who would listen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Eunice Englemann
and Doris Vecera, one brother: William "Bubba" Pritchard.
Donnie is survived by his wife of 26 years, Patty (Robbins) Pritchard; two
daughters: Christina Pritchard Powell and Deondra Pritchard Gonzales;
five sisters-in-law: Evelyn Pritchard, Barbara Dubois, Wanda Nolan, Linda
(David) Duplissey, and Frances Rogers; seven grandchildren: Seth Weber
and wife Tori Weber, Kailie Weber and boyfriend Corey Crouch, Jonathan
Gonzales and fiance Ana Solis, Cameron Powell, Ju11issa Gonzales and fian-
ce Andrew Tavera, Jeshua Gonzales, and Jayvien Reyes; five great-grand-
children, numerous nieces and nephews, and beloved cat, Sassy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m., and funeral
services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. Both the visitation
and funeral services will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 128 E. 5th Street,
Flatonia, TX 78941. Honorary pallbearers will be his seven grandchildren:
Seth Weber, Kailie Weber, Jonathan Gonzales, Cameron Powell, Jullissa
Gonzales, Jeshua Gonzales, and Jayvien Reyes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: American
Lung Association, Dementia Society of America, Leukemia Research Foun-
dation, or charity of one's choice.

Holman Catholic Church Picnic
The annual picnic of St. Wenceslaus Church will be held on Sunday,
Sept. 18 at the parish grounds in Holman on FM 155 between La Grange
& Weimar. A drive-thru-only dinner will be served starting at 10:30 a.m.
The plates will have fried chicken, sausage, buttered potatoes, sauerkraut,
green beans, pickle and dessert, and will cost $12 each.
An online auction will also be held, with bidding from Wednesday,
Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. through Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. Items can be

Weimar Knights of Columbus Chicken Fried Steak Dinner
Weimar Knights of Columbus Council 2153 will serve a chicken fried
steak dinner with sides on Sunday, Sept. 25 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the
St.Michael Catholic Church Family Center, N. Center Street, Weimar. The
drive-thru-only plates will be $12 each and 650 plates will be available.
