1 Quail season gets underway
in this area Saturday, Dec. |. In
counties which are under gener-
ial law, which in this area in-
l eludes — Washington, Lee, Fay-
ette, Austin and Waller coun-
ties — the season is from Dec. 1
to Jan. 16, both days inclusive.
The bag limit is 12 a day and
this general area which are un-
der the Game and Fish Com-
mission’s Regulatory Authority.
In these counties which include
Grimes, Brazos, Robertson, Mi-
lium and Burleson, the season is
'slightly longer. In these coun-
ties the season is from Dec. 1
through January 31 both days
inclusive, except Burleson coun-
ty where the season ends on
Jan. 16. The bag limit is the
same, 12 birds per day with no

Six games—four in the winner’s bracket and two in
the consolation bracket—were to be unreeled today in
the second round of the 16th annual Blinn Invitational
Basketball Tournament.
Two big games are on tap tonight at Marie Heineke
Memorial Gymnasium on the Blinn Campus, with Bell-
ville playing Royal (Brookshire-Pattison) at 7 p. m.
and Somerville and Sealy tangling at 8:15 p. m.
