tin Drive, Houston, announce the engagement of
their daughter, Carolyn Anne. The groom elect is
Marvin Lee Boeker, son of Mrs. Alma Boeker, 936
— W. Cottage, Houston, and the late Mr. Ben Boeker
of Independence. Mr. Marvin Boeker attended
school in Brenham, later moved to Houston, where '
he graduated from Reagan High School. He in em-
ployed by Cameron Iron Works and is also attend-
ing South Texas College. The wedding will take
place on June 13 at St. Stephen’s Methodist Church

lington Cemetery, President Ken-
sums were in full bloom. Mrs.
Yoakum expressed it, “Unless

you cannot imagine the beautiful
sight with the pink blossoms re-
flecting in the water."
Mrs. Ben Schroeder gave a
report April 14 of her attending
the 4-H Leadership Training
School at Longhorn Laboratory
at Glen Rose, Mar. 15 thru 20.
She stated they were taught
headcrafts, games, painting,
weaving, songs, and other lead-
ership activities to be used at
club meetings for the county 4-H
youth training.
Mrs. Yoakum also attended the
laboratory and was elected as.
member to the district board of
directors for three years:
