son, prominent ginners of Chappell
Hill, took a tour by auto to West
Warwick, - Rhode Island to spend
the Christmas* holidays with their
daughter (Mrs. Roland Casimiro)
and family. The Kmiecs relate of
all kinds of weather, but good road

cause of the beautifully lighted out-
door trees, shrubs and huge man-

ington, was the scene of a double
ring wedding ceremony Friday
evening, when Miss Janice Borg-
stedte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
c . William. Borgstedte of Washing-

Edward Baumer, son of Dr. and
Mrs. Harry W. Baumer of West
Bend, Wisconsin. Dr. Baumer, fa-
ther of the groom, officiated, and
the Rev. Paul Piepenbrok, pastor
of the church, assisted.
A prelude of organ selections was
given by Miss- Francis Marth of
Roscoe. She also played the wed-
- ding marches and accompanied Ar-
thur Holle of Baytown whe sang.
Vaughn Williams’ “The Call, Jo-
seph Clokey’s arrangement of “O
' Perfect Love," and as a benedic-
tion, "May the Grace of Christ Our
Savior,” a traditional hymn tune.
White chrysanthemums and glad-
ioli arranged in white Grecian urns,
• placed on white columns, contrast-
ed with a Background of palms and
candelabra A jow centerpiece on
the altar served as focal point for
the floral arrangements.
Escorted By Father
Escorted by her father, by whom
she was given in marriage, the
bride wore a traditional white wed-
ding gown by Arden. It was fash-
ioned on Princess lines With three-
quarter length sleeves and chapel
train of Skinner’s Dulcette satin
'■ lined in pellon and enriched with
delicate Venice lace at the scoop
neckline and on the bouffant skirt.
Her head dress was a pearl
Queen’s crown with a short veil of
bridal illusion. She carried a cas-
cade botiquet of white rosebuds,

streamers, with touches of red

column confection frosted in white
and topped with bride and groom.
Each tier was decorated with pink
roses and lilies of the valley sur-
rounded with white net ruffles.

sermann and Miss Sibyl Robinson
of Longview. Miss Janelle Hess re-

Baumer of West Bend, Wisconsin,
Donald Borgstedte of Shertz, Tex-

stedt} of Houston.
Immediately following the cere-
mony, a reception was held at the
home of the bride’s parents. Cov-
cred with a white net cloth, the ta-
ble was adorned with an arrange-
ment of white flowers and held the
four -tiered wedding cake, a con-
fection embossed in white, touch-
ed with sugar bells. The cake was
served with a sparkling red punch,
coffee, assorted bridal mints, and
sandwiches. ’
The guests were registered by
Mrs. Walter Schroeder, Jr. Other

Mrs. Dale Bashaw of Houston, Mrs.

YULETIDE HOLIDAY DANCE
AT BRENHAM GOLF CLUB
Numerous college students at
home for , the holidays, as well as
many who are attending Blinn Col-
lege, enjoyed a holiday dance at
the Brenham Golf Club Wednesday
night. Many of the participants
were former members of the Bren-
ham High School organization
known as the Dizzy Dancerse
Bill Navratil’s Orchestra fur- "
nished music for the occasion,
playing many popular dance num-
bers. The club rooms were attrac-
tive in their holiday decorations.
Assorted cookies, sandwiches, and
punch were served from a table
centered with an arrangement of
poinsettias and holly.
Chaperones for the dance were
Dr. and Mrs. A. E. Stinnett, Mr.
and Mrs. Charles S. Coates. Mr.
and Mrs. L. A. Seidel.
ST. PAUL’S JUNIOR
LUTHERANS HAVE PARTY
The Junior Lutherans of St. Paul's
Lutheran Church held its Christ-
mas caroling party on Tuesday.
December 22.
. Tile younger members stayed at
the Church and played gams while
the older members caroled.
After caroling the grop went
back to the church for the Christ-
mas party. Carols were sung after
which refreshments were served.
