Hornets in the lead with a couple
of fipe drives; threw the ball out-
of-bounds as the final buzzer sound-
ed. ,
Ironically, Brenham owned only
one-point leads three times — at
36-35. 48-47 and the final score.
The Cubs had the score tied on
two occasjons. at. 16 16 and 33-35.
Lead By Eight
Coach Weldon Duncan’s Hornets,
who are quick, good shooters and
• lean toward defense, had as much
as an eight point lead — at 31-23
with 7:24 remaining in the third

But the never-say-die Cubs, who
appeared tight and seemed to lack
hustle durjng the first quarter when
they managed to score only five
points, slowly rallied back.
While the game’s winning two
points came from the gratis line

field goal advantage.
