Another new program this year
will be the Tech Prep program.
This program is funded through the
South Plains Tech Prep Consor-
tium. Their grant has equipped the
business room with computers for
accounting and microcomputer
applications classes. Tech Prep
will offer free staff development to
the teachers in helping them to
incorporate into the classroom
those skills that will prepare
students for today’s workplace.
Ropes school received a satellite
dish, computer, television, video
cassette recorder and the receiver
free of charge from the Texas
Education Agency. The grant
included free installation and
training. They will be able to
record educational shows to be
shown at the teacher’s discretion.
