Mustache Bristles
With Radioactivity
LONDON, July 12 (ZP) — Dr.
Warren K. Sinclair, on finishing
a day’s work at the Royal Cancer
hospital, brushes his mustache
with a Geiger counter.
He says it’s necessary because
once his mustache bristled with
radioactivity and there is no tell-
ing what might have happened
if he had kissed Mrs. Sinclair
without removing the particles
of radioactive dust that settled
in his whiskers.
“Mustaches are subject to a
sort of an occupational hazard,”
Dr. Sinclair said. “You can’t feel
the stuff, but the Geiger counter
shows if you’re contaminated.”

years of steady progress by
Gary-Nees Lumber company.
The firm was established in
Gainesville in January 1946 with
a small office and only one ware-
house at its present location at
517 East Broadway. Since that
time the company has expanded
several times to meet the increas-
ing business demands. The office
has now been enlarged and sev-
eral additional warehouses con-
structed to handle the firms sup-
plies.
Gary Nees carries a complete
line of building supplies, Pitts-
burgh paints, Flintkote roofing-
materials, rock wool insulation,
lumber, Rubberoid and Flintkote
asbestos siding and wire fencing.
Childers aluminum awnings
are a special line' with Gary-
Nees. These attractive awnings
are used on both dwellings and
business houses. Gary-Nees is the
authorized dealer in this area for
Baroid drilling mud products and
chemicals.
Many fine homes have been
built here during the past seven
years and also several of the
newer business • buildings in the
city. Recently Gary-Nees had a
part in building the new Linda-
Jo shoe factory building, the re-
modeling of the Grand Avenue
Baptist church and other business
houses.
The lumber company is inter-
ested in all repair or remodeling
projects and the management
suggests that it is possible for
anyone to repair or remodel now
under FHA title No. 1. This loan
requires no down payment on
amounts up to $3,000 for repair-

Bezner Named
Local Dealer
For Round Wormer
Bezner Feed and Poultry com-
pany, 504 Summit avenue, has
been named exclusive dealer in
Gainesville for "Roundwormer"
for poultry.
Rufus Bezner, owner of the
firm, reports that he has tried
this product on his own poultry
and it has proven satisfactory in
every respect. He gave his flock
a two-day treatment and by the
third day all indications of
worms were gone.
Speaking of the Round wormer
Bezner said, “With the advent of
pellet feeding and feeding of
mash and grain, it has become
increasingly difficult to adminis-
ter drugs for the removal of
large roundworms through the
feed. Large roundworms are the
most common worms infesting
poultry.
“Chickens six weeks c.f age
and over should be wormed
every 30 days to obtain satisfac-
tory control of the infestation.
For this reason poultrymen have
been looking for a satisfactory
drinking water round wormer
for several years. The develop-
ment of Dr. Mayfield’s large
Roundworm tablets has made it
possible to drop a few tablets in
the drinking water and remove
the large roundworms easily and
economically.”
Bezner was recently presented
