Oklahoma, 50-66, in a rematch
in Durant. The outstanding Buc
players were Phillip Sewell
with 18 points and Tommy
Johnson with a 10-point effort.
The tempo changed in the
third game, as Southwestern
upended Oklahoma Baptist by
a score of 64-58. Buchanan and
Sewell once again were top
players along with guards
Johnson and Minks. Buchanan
totalled 19 points, Johnson had
14, and Minks made an even
dozen. Sewellhad a big nighton
the boards, as he pulled down
an amazing 17 Rebounds for the
game.

Last week may have had a
holiday spirit, but it was long
and hard for the Southwestern
roundbailers as two of three
road games fell by the wayside.
After a dazzling start with a
win at home, the Pirate eagers
travelled to Fort Worth to meet
a tough Texas Wesleyan ball
club. Inconsistency and
numerous turnovers caused the
Bucs to drop the first road
game by a score of 64-81.
In the losing effort, Mike
Minks had 18 points, Joe
Buchanan totalled 13 points,
and Mike Edwards came up
with 10 points for the night.
A second loss in the Pirates'
week came at the hands of the
Savages of Southeast

UNS—Two students and the
athletic director of
Southwestern University will
be attending the annual
meeting of the Texas Associa-
tion for 'Health, Physical
Education and Recreation in
San Antonio this week.
Dr. Tex-Kassen, athletic
director, and students John
Johnson and Debbie Fisher will
attend workshop sessions and
seminars on a number of topics
today, Friday and Saturday at
San Antonio's Convention Cen-
ter.
Among those speaking to the
3,500-member organization will
be San Antonio Mayor Lila
Cockrell and Baylor football
coach Grant Teaff.
The theme of the convention
is "Move on America," and
topics to be discussed range
from gymnastics to swimming
safety and from school in-
tramural programs to city
recreation programs.
