replace the Honors Assembly

A 4:00 p.m. question-and-
answer session with other
faculty members will be held in
the Faculty Lounge, and at 5:30
p.m. Dr. and Mrs. Norris will
have dinner with students in the
Commons. An evening recep-
tion in the home of a faculty
member is planned also.
Dr. Robert Eugene Norris
will be interviewed Tuesday for
the position of Dean of the
Brown College of Arts and
Sciences.
Norris, a native of Kilgore,
Texas, received a BA in
Spanish and French from TCU
in 1961. He earned his Ph.D. in
1969 from the University of New
Mexico in Ibero-American
studies. He will receive a JD
degree in May from the Univer-
sity of Texas Law School.
A member of various learned
societies, Norris was also a
Woodrow Wilson Fellow, a
Fulbright Scholar, an NDEA
Fellow and a Fulbright-Hays
Fellow.
Norris' experience includes
work with the Peace Corps
Training Center of the Univer-
sity of New Mexico, the
Institute of History of the
University of Arizona and the
University of New Mexico's An-
dean Center in Quito.
He has also served as direc-
tor of the USIS Binational
Studies Center in Cuenca,
American School director in
Guyaquil and director of the
USIS Binational Studies Center
annual honors on South-
western students, an Honors
Banquet will be held to combine
recognition of graduating
seniors with the traditional
Honors Day awards.

a luncheon with the Dean's
Search Committee, At 2:30
p.m., he will meet with the
faculty finance advisory com-
mittee.
