Sept. 26.—Cotton is being
picked out at a rapid rate, and is
being marketed at a reasonable
price. If the dry, hot weather
continues, the greater part will
be gathered in October. In some
places most of the cotton is al
ready open. Hands to pick are
wanted by some but the majority
of the farmers will be able to
gather all they make.

in full blast and a great demand
for pickers, as the dry, hot
weather has caused cotton to

Ben Pearson, at this writing,
is some better.
Mr. Robert Carter got his
hand badly cut in the gin, but it
is doing very well at this time.
Mr. Will Ferguson, of Alvord,
visited relatives and friends in
Balsora last week.
Jim Inman visited his best
girl here recently.
Grandma Barnett died at her
home near Balsora Sept. 20. and
was buried in the Willow Point
cemetery on the 21st.
Willie Mann and Charley Mil-
ler entered Jacksboro school
Sept. 18.
Quite a number of Bridgeport
youngsters attended singing
here Sunday evening.
Sunday school every Sunday
and prayer meeting every Sun-
day night at Balsora.
Geo. Miller and family, of
Boons ville, visited friends in
